Each dance team attending UDA camp can nominate team members to compete for the honor of being named a UDA All American.  All seniors are eligible to tryout.  If there are no seniors, a maximum of six team members may be nominated to tryout.  Each candidate will perform six eight-counts from a selected UDA routine and will add two eight-counts of their own choreography.  All American tryouts are usually held the third afternoon of camp.  The head instructor will let you know the exact time and location for the tryout.  Candidates will tryout in groups of two or more.  All American selections are announced on the 3rd night of camp.

• **NEW FOR 2009**
  Sophomore, Junior,  or  Senior All American Dancers will have the opportunity to perform in the New Year's Day Parade in Rome, Italy.  The dates for this parade are tentatively December 26, 2009 - January 2, 2010.  The UDA Staff chaperones the participants to ensure their safety and fun.  If you have any questions about this event, email mfultz@varsityspirit.com.
   
• Junior High and JV All American Dancers will have the opportunity to perform in the Houston Thanksgiving Day Parade, Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, or the UCA/UDA Thanksgiving Tour at the Walt Disney World Resort depending on the state in which they attended camp.  The dates are November 25-28, 2009.
   
• Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors who are either a captain or co-captain from any UDA squad may travel to New York City November 22-28, 2009, and perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, "The Longest Running Show on Broadway," before a worldwide audience of 60 million people.  No tryout is necessary, and space is limited.  For more information, or if you have any questions email medwards@uca.com.
   
• Superior and Home Routine trophy winners are eligible to perform in the Capital One Bowl December 29, 2009 - January 2, 2010, in Orlando, Florida, depending on the state in which they attended camp.
