Who is Eligible?
Any school dance team.

What is it?
An award recognizing the top all-around programs in the country, which exemplify community service, outstanding school athletic support, spirit raising activities, academics, and overall, today's dance team.

How Do We Enter?
Print the application at the bottom of this page. Be sure to include the name of your school, coach's name and email address. Submit the required materials (listed below) to:

Materials for Entry Deadline: Friday, November 28, 2008
Winners Announced: Friday, December 12, 2008

Get the recognition you deserve for all the wonderful things you are already going at your school and in the community. And... it's easier than ever to enter!

Note: Please place all materials in a 1/2" binder. Your application/binder should NOT exceed 25 pages.

Include with your application a letter of recommendation from:
- Your Principal
- Your Athletic Director
- A Community Leader

Also include with this application:
- A Mission Statement for your team (100 words or less) about how you deliver your traditions and spirit messages to your school.
- A Team Statement (50 words or less) describing why your coach inspires you and what makes your coach a role model.
-Team photos (both “standard shots” and shots that show you participating in events/activities, etc.)

Helpful Hints:
-Be very descriptive in all of your activities. Send photos that best demonstrate your spirit leading successes!


The winning team receives:
- A $1000 Varsity gift certificate
- Two Coaches, your Principal and two Captains will make a special appearance at next year’s NATIONAL DANCE TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
- A Feature Spot on ESPN
- A Feature Spot on uda.vsc.com
- $1000 Camp Tuition to any UDA camp
- $500 Cash Award for your school
