2011 National Dance Team Championship
February 4 - 8, 2011

 The 2010 National Dance Team Championship (NDTC) will take place February 5th-7th at the Walt Disney World Resort® in Orlando, Florida. The national championship is administered by Universal Dance Association, a division of Varsity Brands, Inc. The NDTC is the only national-level dance team championship that is endorsed by the National Federation of State High School Associations, the national service and administrative organization for high school athletics and fine arts programs in speech, debate, theater, and music.
Dance teams hoping to compete at the national level are evaluated at UDA summer camps in order to qualify for the competition. If you are interested in attending the NDTC and wish to learn how to qualify, contact your UDA State Director for details!
Last year, approximately 300 high school and all star dance teams made the cut and competed at the National Dance Team Championship, and we are expecting the same for 2010. Dance teams compete in divisions based on team size and grade/age level and have the option to enter 2 of the following categories: jazz, hip hop, pom, and high kick. At the 2009 NDTC, there were an estimated 10,000 spectators in attendance. The competition will be broadcast on ESPN2 and will reach more than 90 million homes this year. All Star Teams can qualify for our National Competition by either submitting a video, qualifying at camp, or qualifying at a regional competition.

Planet Hollywood or Buca di Beppo: If you are interested in going to Planet Hollywood as a group, please see the enclosed flyer. This is strictly optional for you to do on your free time. Transportation will not be provided by the NDTC. If you are staying on Disney property you may use the WDW bus transportation that shuttles to Downtown Disney where Planet Hollywood is located. Buca di Beppo is a new offering this year. Once again, transportation is on your own. Buca di Beppo is located in the Florida Mall and IS NOT accessible by WDW transportation.
